As part of the International Brain Injury Association’s Disorders of Consciousness Special Interest Group, we invite professionals working in the field to request their participation in a survey. The intent is to explore professional opinions relevant to the recommendations included in the newly issued Guidelines on Disorders of Consciousness from the European Academy of Neurology and from the American Academy of Neurology in collaboration with the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine and the US National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research. With the end goal of exploring how to best implement these recommendations to maximise their impact on clinical practice.
These guidelines offer important recommendations for improving both diagnosis and treatment for this patient group. Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary and all of your responses are anonymous. None of the responses will be connected to identifying information. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and you can access it until February 28 2022.
This research has been approved by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine of the University Hospital of Liège (Belgium). If you have any questions about this survey or difficulty in accessing the site or completing the survey, please contact Michele Farisco at michele.farisco@crb.uu.se.
